Its beginning to look a lot like …..
The Robins were very excited to find some Christmas trees in the classroom ready to decorate. They have loved dressing up as Santa and various other Christmassy characters too!

We talked about angels and shared what we know. We explored different ideas and different materials. Then we talked about how we would like to make our own angel. We can’t wait for them to go up on the tree in church.
This week we have been exploring Advent. We have talked about waiting and getting ready. We have made a lovely advent calendar by creating candles using tissue paper, wax crayons and a watercolour wash; finished off with a light varnish. It was lovely to see all the children dressed up cosy and warm in their favourite woollies on Wednesday. We talked about why we were doing it and discussed how much oil we thought we’d save by turning the heating off for the day.
HALLOWEEN The Robins have been embracing all things Halloween this week in school. We have explored Pumpkins, talking about what they look like, feel like etc and have enjoyed exploring the inside of a pumpkin too, scooping out the insides and discussing what the seeds are like too.
