Flower power!

In art we created designs for potato printing. We then created the potato stamps to produce these fantastic pieces of artwork. We were very impressed that the children remembered primary colours and noticed when they were mixed they produced secondary colours.

In Robins and Owls we visit the school library each Wednesday. Our pupils love having free choice, and getting to help use the barcode zapper! Please remember to take back your library books, so we can exchange them for a new one each week.

As an extension to reading The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch the children have made a model and there is a picture of Lizzy with the picnic basket and a knife and fork and the basket on the zip wire.
The owls enjoyed bringing all of their learnt skills together to create their 3D birds in art during the last week of term. The techniques included curling, folding, crumpling and creating texture using rubbings. We hope you like them, we’re very proud of our creations.
