‘Why do we wear poppies?’

The Owls are really enjoying our history unit this term; ‘Why do we wear poppies?’  The children have been looking at World War 1, learning about life in the trenches and the use of animals to help the soldiers.  

The Owls and Robins visited the war memorial in Bainbridge on our weekly local walk, there were many familiar surnames, we talked about their bravery and how grateful we are.
