New Beginnings…
It was absolutely wonderful this morning to see all of our children arrive looking refreshed and rejuvenated ready for the new term. They all seem to have grown over the summer and everyone was so happy and excited to be back, even the staff!

Staffing Changes
Due to some unforeseen circumstances we have needed to make some minor changes to staffing. During the holidays Mrs Lisa Baldwin took an exciting new job and so we have sadly said goodbye to her after many years of dedicated service at Bainbridge School and to our wider federation. We wish her lots of luck and happiness in her new role.
I am delighted to announce that Mrs Abbey Teasdale (previously Connelly – she got married in the summer!) has been appointed to our team as a full time teaching assistant.

There is a statutory requirement for all children to have a minimum of 2 hours’ PE per week in KS1 and KS2. Children must sure that they have weather appropriate PE kit (click here to see our uniform policy) and on their PE days (although we recommend that PE kits are in school everyday).

Earrings:
For health and safety reasons, children are not permitted to wear any earrings or wristwatches during PE or swimming.
We request that children planning to have their ears pierced, do so at the beginning of the 6 week summer break to allow time to heal. If children come to school wearing earrings on PE or swimming days they will need to be able to remove them themselves prior to taking part.
Shuttling and Transport
This morning our shuttle runs seemed to run smoothly and children arrived in a timely way at each site. Thank you for your support with this. Massive thanks to the admin team who do a sterling job in organising these arrangements and making sure that all of our registers are up to date and thoroughly accurate.
Please can I urge you to let us know if there are any changes to your child’s collection or drop-off arrangements, by 2pm at the latest (where possible). If there is any ever any doubt about a child’s arrangements, or if your child is telling us something different to our registers, we wait and try to contact parents. This can hold up and entire bus load of children and go on to affect classes across our federation.
We do not rely on the word of children directly (this is not a trust judgement but a safeguarding issue) so please do contact us directly either by phone or admin email (bawbadmin@b-a-wb.co.uk) if you need to make changes. Your support is appreciated.
Celebration Assemblies
These will begin again on Friday 15th September at 3:00pm. Friends and family members are invited to attend at the school at which your child is on roll. We look forward to seeing you next Friday!
