We consolidated our prior maths learning during our walk to the park this week, forwards, backwards, full turn, half turn….can you guess what we’re doing!
For the final piece of work in the unit of art, we had to print using natural materials. It was really important that we chose contrasting colours and carefully spaced our printing out. Date for your diary: This year the Year 6 will be hosting a Leavers Fair on Thursday 21st of July, it will be held at Askrigg Primary School.
We have butterflies! We have been observing the chrysalises for a number of weeks and we finally have butterflies. We were hoping to release them to their new habitat today but it has been too windy so we will hopefully get to release them on Monday.
This week all of the Owls have completed their phonic screening check, we have been so proud of them and their positive approach to the test.
The final piece of work on our position and direction unit was to describe the position of cubes using all of the maths vocabulary we have learnt. We were very impressed that the children could explain their model in enough detail that their partner could re-create it without looking.
