Practising for sports day, learning how to quickly hand the baton over in the relay race.  Great teamwork, encouraging and helping others, well done Owls.

We consolidated our prior maths learning during our walk to the park this week, forwards, backwards, full turn, half turn….can you guess what we’re doing!

For the final piece of work in the unit of art, we had to print using natural materials.  It was really important that we chose contrasting colours and carefully spaced our printing out. The Owls have been looking at different coastal shapes.

We have butterflies! We have been observing the chrysalises for a number of weeks and we finally have butterflies. We were hoping to release them to their new habitat today but it has been too windy so we will hopefully get to release them on Monday.

This week all of the Owls have completed their phonic screening check, we have been so proud of them and their positive approach to the test.

The final piece of work on our position and direction unit was to describe the position of cubes using all of the maths vocabulary we have learnt.  We were very impressed that the children could explain their model in enough detail that their partner could re-create it without looking.

Sculptural doodles, the children selected a range of materials to make their 3D doodles, we are looking forward to more printing next week.
