Welcome back to a new term!

Published by Webmaster on

We are delighted to welcome back all of our children and staff after a lovely summer of rest, fun, and relaxation.

Welcome!

This term, we welcome new nursery children into our setting, and also two new members of staff – Miss Hollie Telford (Y4: Golden Eagles), and Mrs Emma Teasdale (administrator):

It is delightful and heartening to see how positively and enthusiastically everyone has started the new term, and some of our children seem to have grown up so much over the holidays. Staff and children alike seem to have benefitted from changes in our structure and there is a refreshed and purposeful atmosphere around our schools.

Things to look forward to:

Exciting things coming soon (more info to follow separately):

  • An EYFS information evening covering ‘Evidence me’ and our early reading programme (Read, Write, Inc)
  • An information evening for all parents about our wider reading provision, including our electronic reading records – ‘Go Read’
  • The reinstatement of parent forums

Saying goodbye

Sadly, we are to say goodbye to Mrs Walmsley this term whose family life prevents her from being able to commit to the hours she has with us. We will advertise this post ASAP – please look out for it as this would be a great opportunity for part-time work with our fantastic Early Years team.

Recruitment

Also coming soon – recruitment for our third office administrator (3 days per week). Look out for this advert too as this would also represent a great opportunity to work in a vibrant setting and would suit someone looking for part-time work to fit in with family life.

National Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

It is with greatest sadness we learn of the death of our beloved Queen. I am sure you all join me in sending love and prayers to The Royal Family as they manage their personal grief alongside their momentous public duties. We are using bespoke resources in school to support our children’s understanding of these major historical events and we are well supported by our diocese in doing so.
