Swallows – Homework

Published by Webmaster on

Just a quick note to let you all know the expectations linked to homework now your child is in the Swallows class. On a Wednesday, each child will be set two pieces of homework: one on Sumdog which is an online Mathematics platform and the other to upload their home reading record onto Teams (don’t worry, everything is explained below!). Both of these homework tasks should be completed by a Sunday evening so they can be checked on a Monday morning before 9am.

Reading Record

It has been decided that the children will have 1 reading record in school, and 1 reading record at home which means that the HOME reading record can stay at home all the time. In order for me to keep up with how much reading your child is doing at home, I ask you all to please either upload an image onto Teams of your child’s reading record or send me a picture via email. The expectation is that your child is reading at home every day.

Sumdog

Sumdog is an engaging Mathematics programme which all children in the BAWB Federation use- Year 2 and up. Inside the front cover of your child’s home reading record, I have added an information sheet which explains Sumdog and has your child’s log in details on it. I have also glued the log in details in at the back just to be sure!

If you have any questions or queries relating to this, please get in touch. Mrs Atkinson
