Parent Forum

Published by Webmaster on

We are delighted to announce the return of our Parent Forum: an opportunity for parents to come together to discuss school issues in a structured way, without the presence of school staff. Forums will be chaired by one of our parent governors: Laura Alderson and Mally Dolphin.

Our first meeting will be at 6:00pm on Monday 28th November at Bainbridge Primary School

Please forward any suggested agenda items to either Laura or Mally:

Our Parents’ Forum WILL…Our Parents’ Forum WILL NOT…
promote a positive ‘working together’ culturediscuss individual staff members
be a positive environment to enable parents to be involved in the life of the school and share their ideasdiscuss individual pupils
promote partnership between the schools, our pupils and all of our familiesbe instrumental in fundraising, but will fully support the PTFA
be used to canvass opinions about new initiativesbe responsible for policy making or budget matters
encourage parents to be involved in ensuring any agreed proposals come to fruitionbe a forum in which to make complaints or raise items which are personal to individuals’ experiences
not have members of staff in attendance (unless the forum requests a member of staff to attend to share information or answer questions)be the first point at which issues are raised (class teachers or the headteacher should have the opportunity to address issues before they are publicly discussed)
