Free School Meals

North Yorkshire County Council have streamlined the Free School Meals application.

You can use the form below to check whether your child, aged between 4-16 years old, is eligible for free school meals. If your child is eligible, your application for free school meals will be automatically submitted and we will advise your child’s school of your eligibility.

You do not need to complete this form if you have previously applied and your child(ren) is already receiving free school meals.

All children are eligible for free school meals if they’re in reception class; year 1; or year 2. We still ask that you apply using this form to prevent your child’s school missing out on additional funding.

Before you complete this form, please make sure you have your:

• National Insurance (NI) number;
  or
• National Asylum Support Service (NASS) number.
