What do humans really need?
Today we have been learning about what humans need to survive. We even visited a desert island to realise what we NEEDED rather than what we WANTED. We had a great time and learnt lots too!
Today we have been learning about what humans need to survive. We even visited a desert island to realise what we NEEDED rather than what we WANTED. We had a great time and learnt lots too!
In English, we have been enjoying reading The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Yesterday, we were taking it in turns to ‘hotseat’: pretending to me characters in the story and answering questions from the class about our lives.
The Swallows are really enjoying their Get Writing sessions every morning- one child even said they never knew they could write such a good sentence!
Getting fit and having fun in the Swallows!! Mrs Gurden may have been spotted tapping her foot under the desk when the Footloose music came on!
Our assemblies have been focussing on courageous advocacy. Here we are thinking about how that links to the story of the Good Samaritan, which is the inspiration for our Christian vision.
The Swallows have been working hard on diving by 2 in Maths- it can be tricky to remember that dividing by 2 is the same as halving!
