To support the Askrigg Village Produce Show we have been busy planting sunflower seeds to take home. We look forward to seeing how they grow over the summer, remember to display them on the August Bank Holiday!

In Robins and Owls we visit the school library each Wednesday. Our pupils love having free choice, and getting to help use the barcode zapper! Please remember to take back your library books, so we can exchange them for a new one each week.
We called in at the polling station to see democracy in action. Flowers were counted and picked for mummy. We had lots of fun rolling down the green – no sheep poo here.

In maths the FS2 children have been making first, next, now stories (e.g. First 3 lions were on the bus, then 3 dogs got on. Now there are 6 animals on the bus.) They have been using cuddly animals to make more maths stories up outside.
Our beans are planted. How long will it take for them to grow all the way to the giant’s castle?
Testing the lily pads to see how many frogs went on. These aren’t our tadpoles/ frogs but ours are starting to grow some legs we think.
