Free Family Swim Initiative

Would you and your family like to access free swimming sessions? Read on…

All primary schools receive a sum of money that is ringfenced to develop PE and sport provision: the Sport Premium Grant. Click here to read more about it and to read a detailed plan about how we are spending our allocations.

In order to promote confident and proficient swimming, water safety, and healthy lifestyles amongst our children, we are using some of our sports grant to fund family swim sessions at both Catterick and Richmond Pools.

This week your child will bring home a family swim card that looks like this:

In order to enjoy a free family swim session (this could be all members of your household and/or immediate family but must include children on roll at our schools), simply take one of your family’s cards, plus some photo ID (e.g. driving licence) to either of the pools. The purpose of taking ID is to confirm to staff at the pool that the family presenting the card matches the surname on the front of it.

You can enjoy this offer at any time – after school, weekends, holidays.

Happy swimming!

Edit: families with more than one surname have received new cards today (Friday 25th November) with both surnames on.
