Day for Ukraine – Wednesday 16th March

BAWB pupils and staff are proud to join the nation tomorrow by showing solidarity with Ukraine.

‘Day for Ukraine’ is being organised by First News in partnership with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) to raise funds for their appeal.
Pupils are invited to wear blue and yellow. We are aware that this is announced with little notice (for that we apologise) but we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to join a national campaign. Feel free to be as subtle or as bold as you wish. If you think you might struggle to find blue and/or yellow clothes, remember that school polo shirts are blue. Also, we have a few pieces of decommissioned sports kit at school that is yellow – so we can help. Let’s be creative in the spirit of international solidarity!

This has been an expensive month, and we are mindful of rising costs. We also know that our families have already donated generously to the Ukraine aid appeal. We therefore request that you do not bring a pound tomorrow: you are invited to donate privately, at your discretion, by following the link below.
