The Swallows are starting their unit on shapes in Maths and as an introduction have been making patterns and pictures with different shapes.
For the beginning of Anti-Bullying week, the Swallows wore their odd socks in celebration of being unique!
The Swallows (and Kingfishers) are trialling a new PSHE resource. The Swallows loved circle time with Jiggy Jo and learnt that some people make incorrect assumptions about boys and girls.
The Swallows have investigated the affects of changing a materials shape. It was easy to make a piece of blu-tac sink but difficult to get it to float.
The Swallows have been investigating how some materials can have their shapes changed by bending, squashing, twisting and stretching. This has led to discussions on the properties the different materials have and how some materials cannot have their shapes changed.
