Year 5 & 6 Boys Football Competition

This week saw Leyburn Primary host the year 5/6 boys football tournament. Due to our relatively small numbers at the top end of the school, we decided to draft in some help from the year 3/4’s to enable us to enter the competition. Despite having some younger children this did not deter the BAWB team from competing and giving their all. The boys showed some real teamwork and were able to win 4 out of their 6 matches. A real achievement considering the age of some of our players. Much like the BAWB team from last week we managed to finish second and have also qualified for the next round of this event which will be held in November. All the boys were so pleased with this accomplishment and it has made everyone at school proud of their hard work.
