PTFA Update 23.09.21
Helpers wanted for Halloween party and Christmas fair!
BAWB PTFA held its first in-person meeting for a long time on Monday 20 September. Thank you to the Tooley family for hosting us at The Falls cafe and for providing drinks and cake!
We had a good turnout and a productive meeting, making this year’s committee official – your chair is Petrina Booth, vice-chair Helen Dinsdale, treasurers Helen Coppin and Sam Spence, Secretary Beth Daley and vice-secretary Liz Tooley.
You can read the minutes in full or carry on reading here for themost important bits.
The Halloween disco is happening!!!
Friday 22 October, 5-6:30pm. We have a new venue this year – the Falls coffee shop at Aysgarth. The disco will happen in the function room, with the cafe open for refreshments for parents/carers – and to give those who prefer a little more quiet a bit of a break from the party!
A poster and more details about the event will be coming your way soon.
To make this happen, we need volunteers to sell tickets on the door, serve up hotdogs and juice, sell glo-sticks and manage the lucky dip bran tub. We also need help setting up in the afternoon and tidying away. If you think you could help with any of this, please let one of the committee know or contact us via our Facebook Group.
Who loves Christmas?
If you do, then please consider helping us organise the Christmas fair. It’s taking place on 27 November at Askrigg village hall. There will be stalls (if you want one for your own business, please speak to Petrina Booth) and the usual bacon sandwiches, mulled wine and raffle etc. But it’ll only happen with your help. We need a small team to get together asap and help coordinate the day.
If you think you could help with any of this, please talk to one of the committee or contact us via our Facebook Group – before 1st October if possible!
Keep in touch
All of the information about PTFA activities will be posted on the BAWB website, but if you’re a Facebooker, you can also keep in touch with us on our Facebook Group
Finally – pop 7pm, Tuesday 16 November in your diaries and come and join us at our next meeting!
