We are so pleased that we are able to offer a FREE breakfast club to all BAWB pupils this academic year. Held every day from 08:00-08:30 at Askrigg Primary School, our breakfast club is a welcoming space where children can start their day with a healthy meal. Our club provides pupils with a nutritious breakfast such as cereal, fruit, toast and yoghurt. This ensures that every child has the opportunity to begin lessons with energy and focus. We hope that by offering this breakfast club, it will ease an already busy morning routine and helping those who need to get to work early.

The calm and friendly atmosphere helps pupils settle into the day, boosting their confidence and social skills. Staff often join in too, which builds stronger relationships between adults and children outside the formal classroom setting.

Pupils who attend breakfast club regularly are more likely to arrive on time, concentrate better in lessons, and show improved behaviour. By reducing hunger-related stress and ensuring a smoother start to the day, breakfast clubs can have a meaningful impact on children’s learning and wellbeing. For the school community, they represent more than just a meal — they are a simple but powerful way of giving every child the best chance to succeed from the very first bell.
