Happy New Year to all our families and community members. I can honestly tell you that I am delighted to be back, despite the current circumstances, and have been truly heartened by the way in which our pupils, families, and staff members have coped with this week’s lockdown announcement. Our teachers and support staff set up remote learning immediately and our children were also on-board straight away. I can confirm from talking to colleagues and families in other areas that this hasn’t been the case everywhere.

My thanks also to parents who have accepted and embraced radical changes at the very last minute as we worked almost round the clock to respond to the lockdown announcement.

Lastly, thank you to all who have made the right decisions to protect the safety and wellbeing of everyone, whether that is choosing to keep your child at home, choosing to send them to school so that you can continue with critical work, self-isolating, working from home, or any other decision you have made in the interests of beating Covid.

THANK YOU ALL!

Please can I thank all our KS2 online learners – and their parents – for their enthusiasm and hard work this week. In one way or another, every child has been involved with our home-schooling provision over the course of the week, which is incredible. Please remember that I am available for any help you may need during school hours – don’t hesitate to send me a message and I will do my best to support you. Thanks again, Miss Collins.

Government Update regarding critical workers and vulnerable pupils

I sent an email to notify you of this but here is a reminder: the guidance about key worker eligibility and vulnerable pupil status was updated on Tuesday. You can find it here. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to read through it again because some of the criteria have changed and this might affect you and your family.

Should you have any questions about this, please feel free to get in touch.
