Newsletter – 6th November 2020

Published by Webmaster on

After the wet start to the week, it has been lovely to see the Autumn colours on show in the sunshine throughout the rest of the week. The very wet weather on Monday highlighted the importance of keeping our children dry at the start and end of the day, when waiting to enter school or be collected. This would not usually be a problem but we need to ensure wet weather plans keep children in the safety of their bubbles. We are looking at ways we can overcome this.

Government Lockdown

Despite changes to life outside of school, there are no required changes to procedures for primary schools. We would like to assure everyone that we constantly review our current procedures, ensuring these are still in line with government requirements. Thank you for your cooperation in wearing face coverings when dropping off and collecting children.

Remembrance Day

On Wednesday 11 November the schools will be staying in the in their bubbles to mark Remembrance Day. Merlins (years 5 and 6) will visit the War Memorial in Askrigg, whilst Golden Eagles (years 3 and 4) will mark the 2 minute silence on the playground.
Skylarks (KS2) will visit the War Memorial in West Burton and Swallows will gather on the playground. At Bainbridge the children will be gathering on the playground in separate bubbles.
If children could wear their poppies or wrist bands on the 11th, it would be greatly appreciated.
