Leyburn Christmas Festival Colouring Competition

‘We are organising the Leyburn Christmas Festival this year and we would love it if your pupils were able to participate. We are organizing 3 different creative competitions covering 0-12 years, each entry will be displayed in one of the shops or cafes in Leyburn and a winner from each category will be voted for by the public. The winner of each category will be invited to come and help switch on the Christmas tree lights with Santa.

The 0-4 year-old age group have a stocking to colour in, they can make it as colourful as they like with any kind of design on it.

The 5-8 year-old age group have an illustration from Hannah Russell’s Little Alf series – their task is to turn into a Christmas scene.

The 9-12 year-old age group have a design challenge to create a poster to advertise the Christmas Festival event.

We have attached the drawings and design brief for you.

We would like all finished entries back by Friday 26th November so that we can arrange to have them put up in the shops for the 4th of December.

We hope that your children will be able to take part in this element of the Christmas Festival.
