A WELCOME RETURN FOR A DAY IN THE DALES

After two years, it is now possible to offer a DAY IN THE DALES again for people currently living in Darlington and waiting for their asylum requests to be processed ,so they can be safe and live and work here .
It was based in Askrigg for two years and was an enjoyable day for both the visitors and the hosts and helpers. This year it is on Monday 25th July and will be based in Carperby Pavillion and the Village Hall, with a trip planned to Aysgarth Falls.
We are asking for volunteers who would be involved in various ways to suit your interests.
This ranges from chatting whilst sitting in the sun (we hope) , which was very popular previously. Helping with the tea and biscuits on arrival, the setting out of the lunch, playing with the children, being involved in the art activities on site, and even being willing to organise an activity on the field. Last time we had various scavenger hunt type activities and games on the field. Of course, there is the opportunity to contribute baking which is always popular. Local families and children previously came along, which was fun and we hope this will be repeated .
Also there is the opportunity to make a financial contribution.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities please reply to Gwen Clark [email protected]
