BAWB PTFA welcomes you to a new school year!

Published by Webmaster on

On Monday 20th September, the PTFA invites you to The Falls Coffee Shop, Aysgarth, from 7pm to meet together (drinks and cake available!) and to find out what the PTFA is all about. At 7.30pm, we’ll hold our Annual General Meeting – a short meeting to elect the committee and recap on what we achieved last year, which will be followed by the regular meeting to plan our next activities.

The PTFA (Parent, Teachers and Friends Association) is run by a group of volunteers with the aim of supporting enrichment opportunities that broaden the children’s outlook and experiences across all the BAWB schools, from small things like buying ice cream for each child at the end of last term, to larger things like contributing to funding school trips. There are lots of ways to get involved, from taking on a role on the committee, volunteering to help with a particular activity, buying a raffle ticket from time to time or simply attending an event (more news on the Halloween disco and the Christmas Fair coming later!).

All BAWB families (from nursery upwards) are classed as members of the PTFA and are welcome to come to our meetings, which happen once a term and give everyone an opportunity to shape the fundraising activities we hold, and the decisions we make about where the money then goes.

Please come along, meet us, join the discussion and help us to give our children some great experiences this academic year!
