A wonder around West Burton

Published by Gemma Gurden on

In art today, the Swallows have been for a wander around West Burton to look at the architecture in the village. We learnt about what makes buildings look older and how we can tell. The Swallows discussed what an architect does and why they will have made certain decisions about the buildings (for example- the stained-glass windows in the chapel). We even looked at the dates they were built and compared it to events we have learnt about in history like the Great Fire of London and World War 1!
